Working from James Gunn's screenplay, Suzanne Weyn (Bob the Builder, Forever Angels) doesn't seem to have passed up any with the script's far better jokes, which make fun of everything from the Gap to Vanilla Ice to the Olsen twins. Look, like, dude, man. Each member of Mystery, Inc. , takes a turn telling the story through his or her personal eyes (even Scooby, who provides a chapter with Shaggy translation) , missing none of the movie's self-referential ridiculousness. Of course they will, but don't read the story correct here very first if you're hoping to preserve any from the movie's surprises--including the identity of its unlikely (but somehow inevitable) villain.
